ChalCAN - What you can do
Everyone CAN do something
We want to involve as many local people as possible
There are so many ways to contribute:
Find out more about climate change and the steps we all need to take.
- Come along to a ChalCAN community event
- Help organise an event
- Offer your time and if you have special interests or skills let us know (from cooking to DIY, through to marketing and project planning)
- Join a working group (Food & Waste, Biodiversity, Energy and Transport) – they will be glad to see everyone (contact info@chalcan.org.uk)
- Keep up-to-date with development and ideas by joining the mailing list and reading our e-newsletter, and/or following our FaceBook page
- Ask us questions if there’s something you don’t understand or think we should be covering
- Measure your carbon footprint https://footprint.wwf.org.uk/#/ and discuss the result with family, friends and neighbours
- Do your bit by adopting climate friendly practices (see below)
- Campaign: write letters or emails to lobby on these issues (link and ideas below)
- Most important: spread the word – tell your family, friends, colleagues and neighbours about ChalCAN. We want everyone in the Parish to know what’s going on
